SoundCommerce Merchandising enriches order analysis by including additional information about the products being bought by customers. The components of this module can serve as a basic Product-Item Master (PIM). This addition gives you a more in-depth view of your product list, the propensity for repurchase of specific items, product bundling, and category analysis.
This article introduces the SoundCommerce Merchandising module and provides key highlights.

SoundCommerce Merchandising Module
How we model the data
To get a comprehensive view of total orders and products, we join two different types of data, described as follows.
We understand that most businesses may have numerous product sources. To keep things simple here, we refer to these data sources by their functional category.
Product data
Your product data gives us information about the products you sell. This includes product pricing and costs, multi-level categories, sizes and shapes, etc. This data is gathered to enrich your product analysis.
Orders data
This category groups all orders from eCommerce, retail stores (POS), and apps. This data provides accurate order counts, but orders can't be reliably attributed to a specific ad campaign without additional programming logic and effort.
Module ERD
The ERD below illustrates the relationships between the views that comprise the Merchandising module. This module contains the following views:
- Standard Views
- sc_products (additional data beyond what is available from the Core Module)
- sc_sku_images
- sc_sku_categories
- sc_product_performance_metrics
