Create a Segment

Overview

Now that your Datasets have been set up, Segments are built on top of those datasets using an intuitive UI to select criteria filters.

The Dataset & Segments Documentation guide is a great place to start for referencing common use cases and the accompanying filters.

Process

1. Navigate to Segments and select + Add a Segment
2. Title the Segment with the Destination Name + high-level segment description, select the Segment Of from the intended Dataset
3.  Select + Add condition to select the attributes and criteria you are looking to see for this segment
   
   Pay special attention to the order date ranges to ensure these will line up with your sync needs (eg: if doing a one-time historical sync, ensure the date range covers your need; if looking to set up a recurring sync daily, ensure the order date range reflects orders coming in within last 1 day)
4. Select Preview Results to ensure the desired outcome of criteria selection—the Segment. Refresh the estimated size as well for estimated row counts that will be submitted for this segment
5. Save Segment
