Configure a Complex Sync

Overview

Now that Datasets and Segments have been created, it is now possible to stand up a Sync.

This documentation will walk through configuring a more complex Sync, typically required for Email/SMS Platforms like Klaviyo. This use case is intended for instances where specific, detailed fields need to be sent.

Process

1. Select the Segment you wish to Sync
2. Navigate to Destinations in the header bar and Select + New Sync
3. Ensure auto-populated Source fields match your Segment
4. Select the desired Destination and Object as required
5. Establish a Profile & List Key as required
6. Create a new or Select an existing List in Destination to add new matches
7. Specify the columns required in the Sync. Reference census docs for additional field mapping support.
8. Test Sync a record to destination to ensure sync executes as expected
9. Upon Test Sync success, select next to proceed
10. Establish Sync cadence
    Ensure your Segment order_date filter parameters match your sync cadence. Select Manual to stop any recurring syncs. (e.g., a one-time historical sync)
11. Sync is now created and ready to be executed by selecting Run Now
12. Upon completion of Sync, the summary is available
