If you have administrator privileges to the SoundCommerce platform, you can provision accounts for your organization. When establishing a new user account, administrators can choose from pre-defined roles or create custom roles to set access levels for platform features and dashboards.

Add a new user
To give someone in your organization access to the SoundCommerce platform, add their name and email address to the Users page.
- From the left navigation pane, select Settings
- On the Users page, enter the person's email address in the text box
- From the Role dropdown menu, select Default. To give the user full access to the SoundCommerce platform (which includes the ability to add and configure new users), select Administrator.
Note: The Administrator role has access to customer personal identifying information (PII), whereas the Default role does not. - Select Add user
Register a SoundCommerce account
Newly-added users receive an email with instructions for registering their account. After they complete the registration process, they'll have permissions to the SoundCommerce Retail Dashboards that are enabled for your organization.
Customize permissions through roles
To add permissions beyond those included in the Default role, you'll need to create a new, customized role. For example, to block access to customer PII while providing access to Direct Access data in BigQuery, you'll need to create a new role that allows access to all features except Query Builder.
- On the Settings page, select Roles & Permissions
- Below the Administrator and Default roles, select the plus sign (+) and in the text box, enter a name for the role
- For each listed feature, specify one of the following radio buttons:
- Allow all lets the user view and interact with configurable properties of the feature
- View only allows the user to only view the feature
- Prohibit removes the feature from view in the dashboards
- To give access to a dashboard, select the check box next to it
- When you're done, select Save changes
