General Release
We have enhanced Reactor's Mapping UI so that users can view source records linked together via the Source Links tool.
What are Source Links?
|
ℹ️ Source Links are a powerful feature in Reactor that enables users to merge data from two or more sources into a single mapping output, much like a SQL Join function. For a comprehensive understanding of Source Links, refer to this article: How To Link Sources in Reactor. |
With this change, Reactor now displays linked source data records in the Source Data panel on the left side of the Mapping Configuration Editor. Adding tabs to the Source Data panel provides users with a clear and organized view, instilling confidence in their mapping configurations by allowing them to compare all linked data inputs to the mapped output shown in the Mapping Results panel on the right side of the Mapping Configuration Editor.
- When a source record is linked to any record(s) from any other source(s), Reactor will display the linked source records in tabs above the Source data preview block (one tab per data source).
- Clicking a source tab reveals the linked source record.
- If a data source data is not linked to any other source, the Source Data panel will contain a single tab.
By displaying linked source records, Reactor provides users with a clearer understanding of which linked records will be combined into one output in the mapping pipeline before being exported to the data warehouse. This feature not only enhances the data mapping process but also facilitates troubleshooting by allowing users to review all linked source records on one screen.
