To improve the performance and accuracy of the SoundCommerce Customer Lifetime Sales (CLS) model, we don't predict CLS for customers who don't meet specific data requirements. The following customer records are excluded:
- Anonymous customers (read more about Anonymous customers here).
- Wholesale customers
- Customers with negative discounted sales
- Customers with discounted sales above or below five standard deviations from the mean
The count of customers that are excluded from the model is captured in the Excluded Customers tile of the CLS dashboard. All aggregate metrics in the CLS Dashboard are calculated using predictions for customers who meet CLS model requirements. This ensures that the dashboard is representative of real direct-to-consumer customers and not skewed by data issues. The count of these customers is captured in the tile entitled Modeled Customers.
